Joe DePlasco - I’m so saddened by this. I had spoken to Glenn periodically during his illness. And he always had the same focus that Mark mentions. He was such a great person to work with, as committed to the research process as the wrongs that the research uncovered. And he was so good at it.

Mark Green - As if 9/11 hadn't already stolen so much from all of us...

Deni and I send our love and condolences.

With the sole exception of one consumer advocate, I've never worked with anyone so relentlessly focused
on content, the public good and getting the job done. Whenever he would hand in copy of one of his scores
of groundbreaking report, the next day he'd invariably -- almost apologetically -- ask if he could swap his first
draft for a "better one" with yet more detail and analysis.

Always self-effacing and good natured, Glenn was a model public servant and a delight to work with.

He'll be missed.

In sadness,

Mark

Glenn was a special person - smart and kind. He always tried to make the world a better place than he found it. He will be missed.

Photo #1 - 1978 - Glenn is at 140 6th Ave where he lived with 5 other people including me. One day he came home and said he met an amazing woman named Margaret on Amtrak. It was love at first sight and conversation.
Photo #2 - 1979 - Glenn is in Ocean Grove/Asbury Park.
Photo #3 - 2002 - We are having a bbq at Elaine and Howard's. Such a loving dad.

He was such a baby in 1979 - wow. (But were there palm trees in Asbury Park?)

Probably a fake one lol. Love the photo you posted in front of Carol's house with Jim & Peg & Joel.

Such a sweet man. May his memory be a blessing.

How could we not bond over goat curry and a long walk through Brooklyn, biking to the branches, talking politics, world affairs and travel. Love you Glenn, Margaret and Claudia.

I've known Glenn and Margaret for decades. Glenn and I worked together in many projects over a lot years -- he was an immensely talented and absolutely great colleague. No one was more productive, more meticulous, more honorable or more dependable. The guy you want to have in the trenches with you. Big loss for New York. So sorry Margaret.

I worked with Glenn for just under a year in Franz Leichter’s office before Glenn left to join Mark Green at Consumer Affairs. I learned so much from Glenn in the short time we worked together, a certain angle or take on government, money, and politics that I felt always felt bonded me to Glenn (and Margaret!) and the other Leichter alums. Glenn always loved figuring out something the bad guys were up to that no one else could see, not to mention the bad stuff the supposed good guys were up to that no one wanted to believe. Glenn was my guide in Albany as he passed the torch, sharing the jolly, yet jaundiced, view of our political system that was so uniquely his. We will miss you, Glenn!

We might have only had days together. But those were amongst the best life can bring

I doubt Margaret or I, growing up together, dared to dream of having so much love in our lives. I’m so glad that we had a special week together in California. A time of shared love.
